2014!
So 2013 ended and this post is late-ish but happy new year! I've survived another year and here's hoping to many more.
Hmm. 2013 was an eventful year and a big turning point in my life. I graduated from school, got a job and am now working. I think I was most nervous about graduation because school was a stable thing in my life; get up, go to school, do school work, cry over projects. It gave structure to my life and a sense of purpose. School was also very lepak so I could lepak all I want lol. I didn't realise how much time I had when I was schooling till I started working.
So I started freaking out a bit as graduation loomed nearer. School was the only thing I had known my entire life, something I could fall back to, a place where mistakes were ok. I also didn't know what I wanted to do with my life since pursuing a degree was out of the question as my grades cmi and I didn't have the funds to do so.
Idk why but I suddenly decided that ICA was a good opportunity. While waiting for the confirmation, I worked at GE as a temp. GE was another experience in my life which made me realise how much I hate office work. Hahaha. But it wasn't too bad because I did get to meet some good people.
ICA! Again, 2 months of training with some of the good people (which I only realised after we got posted since I missed some of them lol) Definitely a new experience and a huge chapter in my life. Work hasn't been all that sucky since I've got my Charlie's Angels but shift work is really draining especially night shift. Hahaha I HATE NIGHT SHIFT it sucks. The sucky part is at around 4 am when you start getting super sleepy and you feel like you're floating and your mind's a blur so you anyhow clear because you really really need sleep.
Makes me miss school. I miss school. I still haven't gotten over secondary school. HAHHAHA. That was four years ago but if you told me that when I woke up tomorrow morning and it was the first day of secondary one, I'd go "Shit" but I'd go through all the four years again. Hopefully with the same people. I'd change some things but nothing major. I'll always miss school. I mean, I can always go get a degree but it ain't the same.
All in all, 2013 was a major year in the timeline that is Ain's life. Finished schooling and started working. Went from teenager to young working adult (still unsure about the adult part) Went from worrying about school work to worrying about work and bills and what to do about your life. I wanna save and maybe get a degree but I also wanna travel.
Already booked all the tix to KL which I'm super stoked about. Next up, hopefully, will be Seoul, Tokyo and Manchester.
I wanna enjoy my youth while it lasts.
