Phuket!
Phuket was pretty freakin' awesome.
Flight was at 6:25pm Singapore time. Lepak at the airport and then we went in. My first airplane ride in YEARS and...
I FREAKIN' HATE FLYING. Omg.
The motion sickness I felt was no joke man. I was this close to puking and that wouldn't be cool would it. Take off is the worst cause when the plane goes up, it felt like the roller coaster sensation. Your heart being left behind lol.
Look at my not amused motion sick face.
Well, after landing, we had to wait in line for immigration. The moment you step out of the doors, people try to grab your attention and ask you to sign up for their packages, taxis, minibus, etc. I was quite surprised cause nothing like this occurs in Singapore. Settled on a taxi driver who was willing to squeeze all 5 of us in his car for 750B. Stopped at the travel agency and booked the ATV ride and Simon Cabaret show for the next day before going on the almost hour drive to the hotel.
Reached the hotel and it was pretty nice for a 3 star. Although the stairs were a problem and there was no elevator lol.
After resting for awhile and changing, we went to eat dinner at this halal restaurant across the road. The hotel is so convenient. There's a 24 hour convenience store also and it's located near many shopping places. Go to the Palm Retreat people!
What we ate was pretty good although we spent so much haha. Walked to Jungceylon after that but it was closed, of course.
The next day, woke up early to go to the ATVs. Breakfast was instant porridge haha. There was a car which picked us up to the place, which was a few minutes drive away.
I rode with Kul while Ama rode with Kakak. It was a bumpy start before Kul got the hang of it and I was just sitting behind admiring the sights.
A short video of how it went. Pretty effing cool. Super fun even if I was just sitting cause the bumpy terrain and smooth roads made it super awesome. It was an hour so it felt too short. Boo. I wanna go again! After that, we went back to the hotel before going out to Jungceylon, shopping and eating. Back to the hotel before going out at night for the Simon Cabaret show.
It was ok. I expected something raunchier or funnier. The only highlight was this guy/girl in a blue wig and ginormous fake boobs. He/she kept licking his/her tongue out in a creepy, sexual way which made me laugh so much. And they did a dance cover of Sistar's So Cool and I laughed at this one part because it looked so weird. Hahaha.
We had no plans for the next day except to go to the beach and do some more shopping. So in the morning, we set off to the beach first.
The beach was like enclosed in a bay? Idk, it was quite nice although the water was a let down because I expected it to be clear. It was like Singapore's ocean except the waves were bigger. So we had fun jumping up and down and screaming whenever something touched our legs.
It was quite hot there and after a few hours, we decided to go for lunch. At McD. The regular meals had huge fries and drinks. Like seriously. I though they were upsized. Went back to the hotel to wash all the sand stuck in weird places before going to Jungceylon to bowl. I suck at bowling. End of story. A random picture of me and a Thai Ronald McDonald After walking around for awhile we went back to the area near our hotel to look for stuff to buy for our aunt. Bought some shirts and bags and souvenirs before going to dinner at the restaurant where we first ate when we arrived. Since we had nothing else to do and we were so tired, we went back to the hotel to pack and rest because it was an early flight the next day. OMG we almost missed our flight because we totally forgot about immigration and we could've gone in an hour earlier but we went at 9am and there were long queues. And our flight was at 9:25am. Thank goodness the airline waited and let us use the VIP check in. Had to run to our plane and endure the stares of the other passengers. So embarrassing! Phuket was fun! I definitely wanna travel to some other places but the thought of flying and motion sickness scares me. Boo. Can't wait for the next holiday! :D
