What happened

Past two Sundays, went to watch 'The Hunger Games' with the sisters at Cathay Cineleisure. I watched the film without reading the book and I thought the film was nice. Even if I had no clue about the movie, I still understood the whole thing.

My temp job at EXPO for the Times Book Sale started on 5th April, Thursday. Was working with BP, Shah and Sah. All of us was assigned to do cashiering which was so lucky since the other 2 jobs was kinda terrible. Legs and feet ached for the next 5 days. The sale ended on Sunday and we came back on Monday to pack up. A lot of the staff didn't turn up and more slowly went back so at night, it was down to 6 staff plus 2 managers. The EXPO people wanted the hall back but we weren't even done so regretfully, they had to throw the leftover books away. But the manager said we could bring back some books so the 3 of us grabbed a box and dumped books in. This is what I hauled ^__^

BOOKS!
Spent the next few days reading the Hunger Games trilogy that I managed to coup from the book sale. Yay~ So I gotta say, it wasn't as brilliant as I thought it'd be. The Hunger Games was good. But the next 2 books sort of plodded along. I think it took like a few hundred pages before the action started. And the ending terribly disappointed me. It was building up to be something epic when BAM! Katniss is hurt by fire and becomes emo and depressed. The ending was so weak but at least it was a happy one. Peeta and Katniss. If it wasn't that, I would've probably thrown my the book. I guess it wouldn't be fair to Peeta if Katniss still chose Gale in the end. I hope the movies are better. First time I've ever thought that lol.

Now I see that JK Rowling is a brilliant writer. How her Harry Potter series was so well thought of. She didn't just think of the characters, she thought of the history of the whole freakin' world she made up. That's pretty darn amazing.

Went out on Thursday with these two. Wanted to watch the first showing of 'The Vow'. That obviously didn't happen as the track record of Shah being early/on time isn't good. So we caught the 1240pm showing at Cine. Epic fails all around. Went to the wrong level to wait as Shah said the show was at cinema 6 when it was at 9. Got into the elevator but went up the wrong floor. Finally found the cinema but we were sitting in the wrong seats. *face palm* LOL
The show was ok. Whenever that was a kissing scene, the two of us would giggle because we were like "Why are we always watching these shows with each other" Hahaha. Then met up with Sah and walked around. Got a pair of jeans at Forever 21 and matching watches at Bugis Street. Fun day :)

Yesterday, had a family meeting/gathering. First thing we did there, devoured the food. It literally was all gone in seconds. Adults discussed what to do for my nenek's 40 days. It was pretty chaotic cause the adults were shouting, the little kids were screaming and we were just sitting on the couch chilling.

LOL

]I had fun, laughing so much.

That was quite a long recap. 1 more week before school starts!
