More events!

Yes, my life if just full of them at the moment due to EPM.

Last weekend

With the president of SOS
On Saturday, 19 Nov 2011, we went to Bendemeer Secondary School for the Special Olympics Singapore Young Athletes Program. Basically, kinda like a sports day but for kids with special needs. I was in charge of a games station, which was Leaping/Jumping.

This was our first time dealing with special kids so we didn't know what to expect. We weren't really prepared but our team is great. I think we adapted really well and it was quite a joy to see the kids having fun :D

That night, we went to Tampines to stay over at Sah's house cause our next event, the Solomon X-Trail Run was held at Tampines Bike Trail and the reporting time was 5am which meant no public transport.

We actually planned to watch a movie but it fell through when Clare was late so we decided to go and eat. Haha.

After eating, when to Sah's place and I tried to sleep since I knew we'd be dead tired if we didn't. Slept in Sah's room while the guys were in her brother's room. BP, ZF and Clare sat outside to watch football but apparently Clare fell asleep and the guys disturbed her cause she snored, lol.

We were road marshals for the event. Just directing the runners and shouting words of encouragement. Which I didn't do, haha, cause I didn't want to shout.

Today was my event, Sport Stacking at Serangoon Gardens Country Club. Had a bad start to the day. Set my alarm at 7:15am when I was supposed to set it an hour earlier. This was bad cause we were meeting at 7:45am -__- Rushed and took a taxi to Serangoon MRT. My fail sense of direction meant I walked one whole round trying to find the rest before agreeing to meet at the bus interchange and feeling sheepish cause I was last. Oopsies.

The event was ok, quite fun, to me at least. I did judging, which is an easy job. The Philippines team were the noisiest and fastest too. They caused quite a commotion, making everyone divert their attention to them and making the stackers lost their concentration.

Annoying thing was the coach couldn't accept that the team lost to Singapore so he showed video replay and said that it was a fumble. After debating they decided to replay but actually, Syafiq had judged correctly.

With the WSSA people
We stayed way past the time we were supposed to, leaving only at 9pm instead of 6pm. Funny thing, we literally ran for the bus which was hilarious. We were joking at first until everyone started being serious and really running, lol.

Ate at NEX's KFC before going home.

Now here I am. Good night!
