Takamina Cafe Visit (111003)

Warning: Long rambling post is long and rambling

So I reached *SCAPE at around 2pm after eating at KFC. I was standing near the trash can and drinking my Pepsi when suddenly the doors of the cafe opened behind me and Takamina came out! People waved at her and she smiled and waved back. She was so small and cute and pretty, omg. They took the escalator to the 4th floor and the people on the 2^nd floor freaked out when they saw her. Takamina was waving and making hearts with her hands and this group of Takamina fangirls screamed. Lol, it was loud and funny.

Waited around and then they asked to queue up according to when you bought your tickets. We were led into the cafe, and there were slips of paper where you could write down questions for Takamina to answer. We were then served drinks and waited. Then Ah Kai (the manager of AKB48 Singapore I think and also the translator) announced that Takamina was coming so the mix came on and everyone got hyped up and excited and then she walked in.

I swear idols look way prettier in real life and she did. I couldn’t believe I was looking at the leader of AKB48 in the flesh. She greeted everyone and then talked about a bit about Singapore. The first thing all AKB48 members do when they come here for the first time is to go to the Merlion -.- Like there’s nothing else here except that, lol. She talked about eating chilli crab and how it was spicy but she still liked it and that she would be eating chicken rice for dinner, lol.

Then there was a performance by the 6 Singapore Cafe Girls. They performed ‘Heavy Rotation’ and they were pretty awesome. Takamina was sitting on a chair by the side and when we chanted the mix, she even joined in and she was very enthusiastic which was nice to see. After the performance, she said that they were perfect and that it was very fun to sing along to an AKB song instead of performing it.

After that, there was the Q&A session where they randomly picked out the questions. The fans got to ask her directly and the first question was actually “Which AKB member would you like to make out with?” But Ah Kai asked Takamina in Japanese “Which AKB member would you like to date?” Haha.Takamina answered, “Well, I’d like to see Acchan every day.” Which made the crowd and me go “Ooohhh.” Atsumina alert! Then she said, “Everyday, Acchan” and laughed. SO CUTE ZOMG.

Some of the questions I remembered being asked was “Which country would you like to visit?” and she said “Egypt”. Then she said she’d like AKB48 to do a world tour in the coming years.

Then the questions “If you were not in AKB48, what would you be doing?” Takamina said she’d be working at a gas station as an attendant and asking cars to come in. I ROFL when she demonstrated how she would ask cars to come. She’s so funny. When asked why she said it’s because her friend said she’d suit the job, lol.

“Which song has the most memories for you?” and she replied “River” because she got to shout the “AKB...48!” at the beginning. Takamina also said she’d love to perform here and she’d bring the whole of Team A over and I was like “OMFG, YES YES YES”

The last question was asked by a guy from Japan who sat beside me with his girlfriend and was so excited when he got called. He shouted “YATTA!” and jumped up which made me LOL. His question was “Please re-enact your senbatsu election speech”. Takamina was reluctant at first and kept asking “Do you really wanna see?” and everyone was like “YES” So she stood up and did it which made everyone burst into laughter and applaud her. It was the handshake after that and I always get nervous. I still haven’t finished my drink so I was awkwardly deciding if I wanted to throw it or drink it. I decided to hold it and when it was my turn to shake her hand, I placed the drink on the table in front of Takamina, lol.

She’s really small and short but so cute and pretty and nice. Her hands were small and soft and I kinda whispered “Kawaii” to her, thinking she didn’t hear it. But she did and looked at me and smiled and said “Arigato” and I died a little inside. I couldn’t hold her gaze and looked down and smiled before looking back up and letting go of her hands. I nodded and smiled at her then took my drink and walked away, blushing and smiling. Hehe, the Takamina effect.

So fast forward me waiting 2 hours for her appearance at the shop. Everyone was so excited when she came down. (refer to video) After watching people with the tickets getting to shake hands with her, the staff announced a high touch event and everyone dashed off to queue. The line snaked all the way till outside of *SCAPE. So I got to high five with Takamina *squeals* Then the huge crowd followed her and screamed and waved until she went off.

Most awesome day ever. Takamina definitely jumped up my list. She was cute, funny, nice and so pretty. Ah, I wanna see her again!
