Job Interview

So today, woke up early (6.15am) to go to Raffles Place for an interview with Jia Zhen. My eyes could barely open and I felt so sleepy/tired.

Took the MRT to Raffles Place. The MRT was packed and I felt bad for the people at the other stations who had no chance of going in. But really, there wasn't any space left and it was quite a crowd of people waiting on the platforms. I swear the government needs to improve it. I think the next MRT was like, 6 minutes later -.-

Anyways, arrived just a few minutes before JZ. Walked together to the building but we were early, so we sat outside and chatted for a while. I just realised I've never really been to Raffles Place. Only seen it on TV, lol. We looked totally out of place, with our casual clothes while everyone else was in their office attire.

Walked awkwardly to the building, had to sign in and took the elevator to the 19th floor. I don't really like the elevators where you feel like your heart was left on the previous floor. I don't know how to describe it, but you get my drift, haha. Walked to the office, only 1 person was there and we filled in the forms.

Then we were let into the room where the guy talked to us and then said we needed to go to this other place for a job interview. We were like, "Ok." So we went to Harbourfront. Took the right bus but in the wrong direction so we quickly got out, lol. Crossed over to the other side and took the right bus going in the right direction.

Alighted at this ulu place and went to the building. The building was seriously like, deserted, in the front lobby. There was no one at the front desk and the cafe had only 2 people. Went to the 4th floor and to the office where we filled in more forms and were interview by this lady.

I felt awkward sitting on the couch because it was meant for leaning back not sitting straight, so it was an uncomfortable sitting position. She asked questions like "Tell me more about your job experience" "What do you think are the qualities of a good sales promoter" and stuff like that. I felt so nervous as I answered the questions and my voice didn't want to come out. It was quite fast and she said she'd call so we said thank you and went out.

Since we were free, we decided to go to Nex to eat Texas Chicken. I am not fasting today, heh. Took the bus back to Harbourfront then an MRT to Serangoon. Ate the combo meal and I got the chicken. It was ok, just like, normal chicken... lol. I felt kinda awkward sitting there and eating openly but who gives a flying tuck right.

After that, walked around before going home. Took a nap and now here I am.

The person called and said we got the job! YAY. We start on Wednesday and we were supposed to go and sign the form tomorrow but since I'm going to JB, he said he was gonna email me the soft copy and I'll sign and scan and send it back to him.

Kinda excited and happy but at the same time, like dreading it. Hopefully, it's a fun job and not something I'll dislike.

Annyeong!
