AFAx 2010


Went to Anime Festival Asia 2010 today with Jia Zhen.

In the MRT, I already saw two girl cosplayers. And an almost fight. Suddenly, this younger man stood up and like, shouted at this older man and tried to punch him. Curse words flying all over the place and he kept gesturing towards his daughter I think. I think he was implying that the older man was looking inappropriately at his daughter or something. Anyways, he left and the old man was quite shaken. I was like, WTF. Why is Singapore so angry these days? Slashings and fights. Years of pent up anger?

Haha.

Met Jia Zhen and went to Suntec Convention Hall. We didn't really know where to go, but just went with the flow (i.e follow people in weird costumes) and saw that the queue was super long. But then this man led us back down and we bought our tickets and went back up, bypassing a lot of people to go in. There was a lot of people already, so we walked in a circle, looking at the outside booths first before venturing to the middle. There was a small stage, with people I don't know. Haha. Got the map and we looked around.

There was a lot of anime being sold and LOADS of cosplayers. There was also a butler and maid cafe. But we didn't go in cause there were many people and I didn't know how much it costs. Lol. The butlers were quite handsome though. ^^

Looked at imitations swords, guns and other weapons. There were cool shirts and other stuff, but it was all so expensive, so we didn't buy any.

After rounding the entire place, went out, next door to the Borders book sale. Lol. Randomly looked at books, but none were interesting so went back into the Festival. Was determined to at least buy something to remember the event by, so I bought 3 key chains. They were cheap and cute so we bought some.

Then, after going round for like, 3-4 times, and seeing this apparently famous cosplayer from Japan, we went out for lunch at LJS. Ate, then went to HMV.

HMV sucks balls.

They don't stock any AKB48 CDs. Like, not even one. -.- How can you not stock Japan's hottest girl group? Even CD Rama has a few AKB48 CDs, the latest being 'Heavy Rotation'.

Pfft.

We were tired, so we went home.

Had fun. There's gonna be another one next year, so I'll save up and buy a shirt or something. If there's a famous band coming for the concert, might go.

Oh, and I'm going for AKB's December fan meet. It took me 10 secs to confirm my purchase. I had no chance to rethink.

The thing that's making me nervous is the fact that I'm gonna be shaking hands with 16 Japanese girls. Eek.

Ok another wrap up of the past few weeks. And I just found out Khad stalks me so HI KHADIJAH! Since I can vaguely remember what happen... Oh, there was IB presentation on Tuesday. It went ok, I wasn't as nervous. I think I present better in casual clothes lol. Khai lent me his Sims Medieval CDs.  And we got back our ICA 2 results. So suprising that I freakin' PASSED. And not just passed, I got like a good %. I was super shocked when I got the paper back because as you know, I'd expected to fail with a big fat F. To pass with this kind of marks totally blew my mind. Hehehe.  So that night, something flew into my eye while I was doing the most mundane thing possible. Watching TV in my sisters' room. I tried to get it out: blinking furiously, tearing up and crying a river, dumping water and eye drops into my eye and it still wouldn't come out. Since JZ wasn't at work yesterday, the evil genius a.k.a Ain decided to print out pictures of 2 aunties (that I had previously changed her phone wallpaper to) and stick it around her desk area to troll her.   I swear I could stop laughing when ASY was drawing this. It was so hilarious ok hahaha. Anyways, since JZ always comes to work early and I wanted to see her reaction, I decided to ask her for breakfast. Had porridge at KFC before coming to work 15 minutes late. Lol. I think this was the first time in almost 2 months that JZ and I went to work together. I think Sebas was surprised. JZ's reaction was funniest when she opened the keyboard drawer and saw the pictures. She literally jumped back and burst out laughing and I too couldn't stop laughing.
