K Pop Night 2010

Decked out to support SNSD.

Best. Night. Ever.

Start from the beginning. Went out with my 2 elder sisters and a friend at around 3pm to go to Expo. There were a lot of sales going on so, there were a lot of people there. But saw SONEs almost everywhere, decked out in SNSD shirts and carrying pink light sticks/sabers.

Saw many SHINee and Big Bang fans. There was a Big Bang Indonesia fan club. The queues for the standing pit and Cat 1 were long. Joined the cat 3/4/5/6 queue. Doors were supposed to open at 6pm, but it only opened an hour later. The process was surprisingly not chaotic, everyone was very orderly.

We all had different seat numbers and we were hoping to exchange with people so that we could sit together. In the end, me and my eldest sister sat together, while my other sister sat with her friend.

MCs came out, and pumped up the crowd at around 8pm.

The first band was FT Island. They sang 4 songs I think. I can't remember. I only know 1 song which is their latest single.

Next was 'The Boss'. Cuteness all around. Everyone was still seated and not quite excited yet.

Then it was 'ZE:A'. Screamed for Dongjun. They sang 'Mazeltov', a song that I hate. Then they sang my favourite song, 'All Day Long'. Ahh. After that they sang their latest single. During the talk, Kwanghee was so cute. Lol. After they were done performing, he grabbed the mic and kept saying "Annyong, annyong". So cute. :D

After that, was 'Infinite'. They had a dance break at first before performing 'Come Back Again', a song that is so catchy. Then it was 'She's Back'. I can't remember, but I think they performed another song which I don't know.

Next was, ZOMG, SHINee! Jonghyun didn't come. At this point, me and my sister had switched seats to be with my sister and her friend and we stood up and screamed.

TAEMIN!

They sang 4 songs, 'Replay', 'Ring Ding Dong', 'Lucifer' and 'Hello'. Taemin and Onew covered JH's parts and they did well. Except for Onew messing up during the beginning of RDD. The place was electric. Screams and chants and singing. Awesome.

Then it was the moment I had been waiting for.

SO NYUH SHI DAE A.K.A GIRLS' GENERATION!

All of the SG SONEs lit up their light sticks and sabers and pink was the colour. They came out and sang 'Genie' and 'Oh'. Tiffany rose up higher in my rankings for her super awesome, "Singapore, put it back on!" Holy crap. I almost died right there and then.

There was a short talk segment and Tiffany, Jessica, Seohyun and SooYoung spoke. SY and her cute Engrish.

They then performed 'Run Devil Run' and 'Gee'. There was a short break before 'Gee' and everyone was chanting 'Gee! Gee! Gee!'. The song came on and it was amazing. The fanboys were great, chanting loudly and singing along. Me and my sister, at that point, didn't really care, and just let loose, screaming, singing and chanting along. My knees felt like they were gonna give way. I was THAT excited.

The last performance was Big Bang. They sang the most, 6 songs. I didn't really know any of the songs, so I was quite lost. Lol.

After that, all of the artistes came out and said goodbye. And it ended.

Seriously, the best 2 and a half hours of my life. Every dollar was worth it. To see all those idols especially SNSD, in the flesh, was amazing and so surreal.

Now, I want either an SMTown Live or SNSD's ITNW concert to be in Singapore. That'll be even more amazing. :)
