Australian Open 2010

Since the Australian Open 2010 is in 2 days time, I am going to post my favourites to land the title.
You can never have a favourites list without THE MAN, Roger Federer. Having regained his Midas' touch, winning the French Open and Wimbledon last year and assuming his place once again at the top, Roger Federer is definitely the king of men's tennis. He lost in last year's final to Rafael Nadal in another epic 5 set thriller and will be back to add another Grand Slam to his already record breaking haul of 15. Definitely one of the top favourites.

World Number 2, Rafael Nadal had a torrid time last year, when he lost his French Open crown to his rival, falling in the semi final to Swede, Robin Soderling. He succumbed to injuries and missed the chance to defend his Wimbledon title, which Federer again regained. Rafa will be back to defend the title he won last year.

Ah, the Joker. He has improved a lot, but is still a One Slam Wonder. His first Slam was the Aussie Open back in '08. He is a consistent performer, having finished as World No. 3 for 3 consecutive years.
Juan Martin Del Potro. World No. 4 and won his first Grand Slam last year, beating The King, Roger Federer, at the US Open final. That is an amazing feat, and he is a strong contender for all the Grand Slams this year.

My personal favourite? Do you really have to ask? Of course, the king himself, Roger Federer all the way. :)
