Graduation 151009

Sudden obsession with paper birds.

Well, I officially graduated from Yusof Ishak Secondary School. You know, you dream about this moment and you keep thinking, "When the hell is it coming?". And when it eventually arrives, you have this sinking feeling in your stomach and a little voice that screams, "This can't be happening. It's too soon."

Well, that was exactly how I felt just now. It was a bittersweet moment. You're happy that it's over but sad cause it's over. It's a big contradiction. For me, I actually enjoyed my four years of secondary school. And I actually will miss the school. Sure, the four years had it's ups and downs, good moments and bad moments, but it shaped me to be who I am now.

I remember my first year in YISS. We were all scared. We had to adjust to new surroundings and new friends. It was a totally different world. We were young and naive. But somehow, we managed to survive and live another year, armed with new friends and better understanding of being a teenager.

Last year was a total blast. I think ranks high in my list of best years of my life. The teachers rocked, the friends rocked and it made everything rock. Although 3E4 wasn't the best class, we were the most awesome. Duh.

This year, it went by in a total blur. And bam, we are done, just waiting for the O Levels before the future finally awaits us. Gosh, it's too fast.

But sadly, this wonderful chapter of my life has now closed, sealed with nothing but fleeting memories and pictures. But strangely, I find myself reluctant to let it go. I will probably be hanging on until the very last moment when I have to, however much I do not want to, let it all go and move on.

So here's a list of teachers who have taught us for the past two years. (Since I already made a list for the sec 1 and 2 years)

English: Mr Ng (first half sec 3), Ms Prema (second half sec 3), Mr Yen (sec 4)

Maths: Ms Low (sec 3), Mr Verma (first half sec 4), Mdm Wong (second half sec 4)

Physics: Mrs Chiam (sec 3), Mr Goh and Mr Lau (Sec 4)

Chemistry: Mr Chow (sec 3-4)

Social Studies: Mdm Rosnah (sec 3), Mr Tan (Sec 4)

History: Mr Lee (Sec 3-4)
MT: Cikgu Azizah (she has been my Mother Tongue teacher since sec 1. Wow.)
DnT: Mr Lim (sec 3-4)
Core Geography: Mr Low (sec 3), Mrs Goh (sec 4)
And to Mr Marcus Ho and Mr Yen for being our form teachers.
4E4, although some of us probably won't get what we want, remember, we are all destined for greatness. So, do your best cause we are not losers. No matter what everyone else says so.
:D
