34 Confirmed H1N1 cases In Singapore

Singapore has confirmed new cases of the H1N1 virus taking the total to 34. All of these cases, except 1, came back from overseas. There is no sign of any community spread so Singapore's alert level is still at yellow despite the fact that WHO has raised it's alert level to phase 6, the first time in decades. This signals the start of the 2009 flu pandemic.

With as many as 30 000 confirmed cases around the world, and the fact that this virus is entirely new, WHO decided to raise it. But Singapore is still cautious and doesn't want to cause panic by upping it's level.

Well, if Singapore does raise it's level, it'll mean temperature checks everyday. Which I find annoying. But if it helps, then sure. Cleanliness is the most important thing and please people, take care of your health.
